Will polishing damage my paint?
Not when it is measured. Machine polishing removes a fraction of a micron of clear coat. Done once every couple of years by someone paying attention, your paint will outlast the car.

A studio built by someone who kept redoing his own car
Shine Car Care started in 2019 in a single bay off Ruikar Colony. Today we look after a few hundred cars a year across Kolhapur.
How this started
Sagar Gaikwad spent years buying compounds and pads for his own car, then for friends' cars, then for friends of friends. In February 2019 that turned into a registered business with a proper bay, proper lighting and a proper set of machines.
The idea has not changed since. Most cars in Kolhapur are not damaged, they are just neglected and washed badly. Sort out the washing, correct what is already there, protect it properly, and a five year old car looks better than a new one that has been through an automatic tunnel wash twice a month.
What we are careful about
Clear coat is thin and you do not get it back. We do not chase every last scratch if removing it would take more paint than the scratch is worth. We would rather leave one deep mark and hand back a car that still has protection on it in five years.
We also do not oversell coatings. A graphene layer is excellent, but it will not hide swirl marks, it will not stop a stone chip and it does not mean you never wash the car again. Anyone telling you otherwise is selling, not detailing.

The main studio is at 2091 E Ward, Ruikar Colony, Near Temblai Naka, Kolhapur. We also work out of Aptenagar, Plot No. 20, Kolhapur, and our doorstep team covers the whole city if you would rather not move the car.

Questions we get every week
How long does a ceramic coating actually last?
Our hybrid ceramic holds up for around three years and graphene closer to five, provided the car is washed properly. Automatic brush washes will shorten that considerably.
Can you really do this at my home?
Yes. We carry our own water tank, pressure washer and generator. We need roughly two parking spaces and about four hours for a standard detail.
Do you work on bikes and commercial vehicles?
Bikes yes, and we do interior work on tempo travellers and vans. Message us with the vehicle and we will tell you the price honestly.
What payment do you accept?
Cash, UPI and bank transfer. For coating jobs we take a part payment when you book the slot and the rest at handover.
How far ahead should I book?
Weekends fill up first. For a wash or one step polish, a day is usually enough. For a coating, give us three or four days notice.
