1. Who we are

Shine Car Care is a car detailing and car care business operating in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India. We are a proprietorship registered as a micro enterprise under the Udyam scheme. This policy applies to this website and to the enquiries we receive through it, through WhatsApp, and by telephone.

2. What we collect

We only collect what we need to quote for your car and get back to you.

We do not collect payment card details on this website. There is no online checkout here. Payment happens in person by cash, UPI or bank transfer.

3. Why we are allowed to use it

• Your consent. You choose to send us an enquiry or message us. You can withdraw consent at any time by telling us to stop.
• Performing a service you asked for. Once you book, we need your details to actually carry out the work.
• Our legitimate interest. Keeping basic records of jobs done, protecting the site from spam, and following up on quotes you asked for.
• Legal obligation. Keeping business records where Indian law requires it.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade or hand over customer lists to anyone. Your details are seen by a very small number of people:

• The owner and the technicians working on your vehicle.
• Our web hosting provider, which stores the enquiry as it passes through the server.
• WhatsApp (Meta Platforms), if you choose to message us there. That conversation is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy terms.
• Government authorities, only where we are legally required to produce records.

5. Cookies and measurement

This website does not use advertising cookies of its own. It sets a short-lived PHP session cookie so the enquiry form works and can resist spam. That cookie carries no personal information and expires when you close the browser.

If we have activated the Meta Pixel on this site, it records anonymous events such as a page view or a click on our call button, so we can measure whether our Facebook and Instagram posts are reaching people. This does not identify you to us by name. You can opt out through your browser settings, or through the ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account.

Our contact page embeds a Google Maps frame so you can find the studio. Google may set its own cookies when that map loads. Google's use of that data is covered by Google's privacy policy.

6. Photographs of your car

We often photograph finished vehicles for our Instagram page and this website. We blur or crop number plates before posting. If you would prefer that your car does not appear anywhere publicly, tell us before or after the job and we will not post it, or we will remove it. No explanation needed.

7. How long we keep things

• Website enquiries that do not turn into a booking: up to 12 months, then deleted.
• Job records for completed work: up to 5 years, because coating warranties run that long and we need to honour them.
• WhatsApp conversations: as long as the chat remains on the business phone.

8. Keeping it safe

This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Enquiry records sit on our hosting account behind a password, and the business phone is passcode locked. We are a small business and cannot promise that any system is impossible to breach, but we take reasonable, practical steps and we will tell you promptly if something goes wrong that affects you.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete your information, unless we are required to keep it for a warranty or by law.
• Stop contacting you for anything other than a job already in progress.

10. Children

Our services are sold to adults. This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be mentioned on our Instagram page as well.
